Carmen Simone Bowles began her cosmetology career after graduating from Dudley Cosmetology University, Kernersville, NC.  She returned home, where she continued her career as an owner/stylist in Anchorage, AK.

What intrigued her about the beauty industry was, her love of color and architecture. These two things could be used to create an awesome hairstyle. When she saw colors, lines and shapes in landscapes and architecture, it gave her great ideas, as a foundation to create hairstyles and haircuts.

In 2009 her journey would change, she received her cosmetology instructor  license, and began working for Paul Mitchell Schools. Her ability to nurture new talent and lead staff members,  lead her to a promotion as, Education Leader and Future Professional Advisor. She continued to further her education by receiving certifications, levels  2-3 in color, cutting and texture.

Carmen also received notoriety for competing in the Paul Mitchell National Photo Shoot.

In 2014, Carmen and her family relocated to Greenville, SC, with her passion for hair, she decided to work in a salon and became an educator for Wella/Kadus.

​

She always wanted to own another salon, that reflected who she was, that opportunity became real, Hair by Carmen Simone was established, the summer of 2020, she now owns her own multicultural  hair salon suite designed to create an athmosphere of relaxation and peace while providing high customer satisfaction, by creating colors, cuts and hairstyles for all textures of hair.
